Private Medical InsuranceOur osteopaths are registered with most health care providers. However, at present we are unable to treat BUPA patients as we cannot agree to the unreasonable 40% reduction in our fee that they insist upon if we want to be part of their network. Unfortunately this removes your choice of who you see as their network is based purely on osteopaths who have accepted their low price. In Sevenoaks, 17 out of 18 osteopaths have rejected the BUPA contract. We suggest you complain to BUPA if you are unable to see the practitioner of your choice. Please contact the clinic reception if you require any further information regarding Private Health Insurance cover or claims.
What is Cranial Osteopathy and who can it help?
Cranial Osteopathy is a gentle yet extremely effective approach making it an ideal treatment for babies and young children. It can produce excellent results in helping babies to get over the various traumas associated with birth. It can also be used to treat a wide range of conditions in people of all ages from childhood to old age.
In adults, Cranial Osteopathy may be used to relieve the common symptoms of a build up of stress and tension, such as headaches, fatigue, migraine, anxiety, sleep problems and digestive issues and will help the body to function better in all respects.
During pregnancy, Cranial Osteopathy can be helpful for dealing with the associated stresses, aches and pains, as well as the positioning of the baby, morning sickness and heartburn. Following child birth, treatment is recommended to help the body return to the pre-pregnant state, to treat any residual trauma from the birth and to avoid possible and unnecessary complications in later pregnancies.
If you would like more detailed information on the positive effects of Cranial Osteopathy or if you would like to book an appointment with our Cranial Specialist, Clarissa McManus, please call the clinic on 01732 453956.
