Acupuncture is a part of Chinese Medicine, along with Tuina
massage and Herbal Medicine. It uses very fine disposable needles to stimulate
the body’s own physiological and emotional health.
It is mainly known for pain relief, but many other
conditions can be helped. Chinese Medicine views the body as its own eco
system, constantly functioning, producing, clearing and fixing itself. With
disturbances through lifestyle, injuries or constitutional factors, balance is
upset and illness follows. Acupuncture and herbs aim to restore the body’s own
capacities to heal itself.
This may be done with acupuncture needles, acupressure,
moxibustion, cupping, tuina massage, sports massage, ear acupuncture or herbal
remedies.
